FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS FOR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
How would you describe your photography style?
My style is a mix of lifestyle, photojournalism, traditional and modern, complicated right? not really, a wedding day usually last 8 to 10 hrs within that time a lot of genres of photography are covered; like: shooting the details is a mix between product and macro photography, the getting ready of bride and groom are a mix between photojournalism and fashion photography, the family portraits are 100% traditional, posed and camera aware. The bride and groom creative portraits are a mix between romantic posing, candid moments, environmental portraiture and landscape (my favorite part) and lastly the reception is photojournalism and editorial, It's not strange that you'll see me taking pictures in the middle of the dance floor, I will try to capture every guest dancing, smiling, drinking and having a great time.
Do you have an assistant?
I do ! However my assistant is there to help me with my gear, to keep track of the timeline, to help me with the family groupings, to set up my of camera flashes, etc, my assistant IS NOT a professional photographer but she will take basic pictures during cocktail hour and help documenting a different view point in those moments where I can't be in 2 places at once like: bride walking down the aisle, first look, exchange of rings, etc. She is a great addition to the coverage and I LOVE the extra help.
Do you work with a second photographer?
Sometimes Yes, If you desire another professional photographer to document exceptionally large weddings or very complicated logistics (bride and groom are getting ready in different locations) you can absolutely add a second photographer to your collection. Otherwise my assistant and I can cover your wedding day with no problem ;)
Do you edit all the photographs?
I do ! I personally color correct, edit and basic retouch all of your images, one by one ! Editing in my personal style is a process that I enjoy greatly.
What's included in my collection?
Depending on the selection of your collection, but EVERY collection includes:
X hrs of coverage, But I really think 8 hrs is the bare minimum to capture all the aspects of the wedding day. 3 hours Pre-Ceremony 2 hrs for Ceremony & Portraits 3 hrs Reception. (give or take, this will depend on your wedding timeline).
Online gallery, its a beautiful, password protected online gallery for easy viewing anywhere in the world in any device with internet access, its also a great tool to share your images on many social media platforms or direct link with family and friends. The best part of the gallery online is that its linked to one of the best printing labs in the country and you, your family and friends can order prints on the gallery online ! Your gallery online is only going to be active for 1 year.
Planning session, I love getting together with all my couples and talk about the wedding day, this way we can create the photography timeline and answer all the questions that you may have about photography coverage, special moments that you want photographed etc.
In person ordering session, This is a wonderful experience ! We'll get together 2-3 weeks before your wedding day in my home-studio and we'll take a look to all the amazing unique products that I'd love for you to take home, Like: fine art wedding albums, fine art prints, wall art, gift prints etc. You are more than welcome to bring friends and family.
How long does it take before we receive our photographs and products?
The online gallery with all of your High-resolution images is released within the next 5 weeks of the wedding day. If you have a wedding album in you collection, we are going to start the design process and upon final approval of album designs, most albums are ready for delivery in the next 3-5 weeks.
How many pictures will we receive?
Approximately 100 edited images per hours of wedding coverage. This will depend of the number of guest and the feel of your event.
Can we have the RAW files?
No you can't. culling, editing and curating your images is part my creative process, I assure you that I will only deliver the very best of the wedding day in a very compeling/storytelling way.
What if we want to order extra prints?
Fabulous ! This is why we are going to schedule a in-person ordering session, to take care of all the wall art and heirloom albums that you and your family will treasure for ever. If you can't schedule the session you can also go trough this process by your self in your online gallery and I can totally guide you trough the process.
How does the album design process work?
After you receive your gallery online you can expect the first album draft within the first 4 weeks via online album software, using this system we can keep track of the spreads count, images etc, you can view an online version of your album and see the flow and rhythm. This is the time to add more spreads, make your album bigger or order parent albums (mini versions or your album). I'll send you a questionnaire to help me design your album cover and If during this process you want to be more involved, you are more than welcome to schedule a Facetime-Skype or in-person meeting to finish the details.
You have 2 rounds of revisions but unlimited changes within each revision. Once you approve your album my lab will take between 2-3 weeks to print the finish product.
Do you offer engagement sessions?
engagement sessions are my bread and butter ! I love to get to know my couples before the big day, getting to know each other is essential to understand my romantic posing, we'll talk more about your wedding day photographic expectations and you'll walk away with beautiful, professional images that you can display on your wedding day or in your home.
Do you have insurance?
OMG, yes ! piece of mind right there !!!!
Can you provide my venue with a certificate of insurance?
Yes of course! I do request that you let me know 2 months before the wedding day.
What kind of equipment do you use?
Top of the line professional canon equipment and backups.
What is your payment schedule?
I require a $700 non-refundable retainer at the moment of booking to hold your date and the balance 1 week before your wedding day. I'll send you an email reminder when your payments are due.
Why is the retainer non-refundable?
The retainer and all monies paid are non-refundable because it guarantees that I'll hold that day exclusively for you and after you've signed the contract I will turn down all other commissions for that day.
What happen if you are sick on my wedding day?
I'm so blessed to know and work in a very tight community of photographers and wedding vendors. If anything should happen to me (knock on wood) on your wedding day, I'll provide another photographer who shares my photographic style. I'll never never not attend a wedding.
If we are running late, will you stay later than you were scheduled?
Yes !!! I'll never leave a wedding or event without asking you if you would like more coverage, how ever I'll invoice you for extra hours on the next business day.
